Hospice services are designed to attend to the needs of a population that has often been isolated, ignored, or abandoned. Advocating quality of life, hospice supports persons who are dying and their families. Learn goals, hospice philosophy, aspects of palliative care, needs of the dying & appropriate interventions. Learn about the interdisciplinary team, the range of services, training and insurance criteria. Pain control and symptom management is emphasized.
